Red Square, a brand of vodka manufactured by Halewood International Limited in Liverpool, England
(Ukrainian: горілка, Belarusian: Гарэлка, Polish: wódka, Russian: водка ) is a distilled beverage. It is composed primarily of water and ethanol with traces of impurities and flavorings. Vodka is made by the distillation of fermented substances such as grains, potatoes, or sometimes fruits and/or sugar.
Traditionally prepared vodkas had an alcoholic content of 38% by volume. Today, the standard Ukraininan, Belarusian, Polish, Russian and Lithuanian vodkas are 40% abv (80 proof). The European Union has established a minimum of 37.5% alcohol by volume content for any European vodka to be named as such.[1][2] Products sold as vodka in the United States must have an alcoholic content of 40% or more.[3] For homemade vodkas and distilled beverages referred to as "moonshine", see moonshine by country.
Vodka is traditionally drunk neat in the vodka belt countries of Eastern Europe and around the Baltic Sea. It is also commonly used in cocktails and mixed drinks, such as the Bloody Mary, screwdriver, Sex on the Beach, Moscow Mule, White Russian, Black Russian, vodka tonic, and in a vodka martini.

In terms of viticulture the Central Valley of Chile (Spanish: Valle Central) spans the O'Higgins Region (VI) and Maule Region (VII) Administrative Regions and the Administrative Metropolitan Region, and is the main growing zone for Chilean wine and coincides with the historical core of the Chilean Central Valley.
This is Chile's most productive and internationally known wine region, due in large part to its close proximately to the country's capital Santiago. It is located directly across the Andes' from one of Argentina's wine regions: Mendoza Province. Within the Central Valley there are four wine growing regions subregions: the Maipo Valley, the Rapel Valley, the Curicó Valley and the Maule Valley.
  • The Maipo Valley is the most widely cultivated valley and is known for Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • The Rapel wine region in the Colchagua Province is also known for it Cabernet.
  • Curicó has both red and white wine varieties planted but is most widely known for it Chardonnay.
  • The Maule Valley still has large plantings of the local Pais but is gradually being planted with better red wine varieties.
The soil of Maipo Valley is noted for high salinity stemming from irrigation from the Maipo river and low potassium level which has some impact on the grapevines. Vineyards in the Maule also suffer from low potassium as well as deficient nitrogen levels. Advances in viticultural techniques have helped vineyards in these regions compensate for some of these effects.

The term Jägermeister was introduced in Germany in 1934 in the new Reichsjagdgesetz (Imperial Hunting Laws). The term was applied to senior foresters and gamekeepers in the German civil service. Thus, when the liquor was introduced in 1935, the name was already familiar to Germans. Curt Mast, the original distiller of Jägermeister, was an enthusiastic hunter.Translated literally, Jägermeister means "hunt-master", combining Jäger (hunter) and Meister (master, in the sense of an accomplished professional). A possible free translation might be gamekeeper.
Jägermeister was originally developed as a digestif and as a cough remedy. In Germany, it may be humorously referred to as Leberkleister (“liver glue”). The humor plays upon the fact that Leberkleister rhymes with Jägermeister. A satirical advertisement which mocks Jägermeister as Leberkleister appeared on the back cover of issue number 70 of the German edition of Mad magazine in February, 1975, under the rubric “Advertisements we’d like to see.”
The Jägermeister logo, which shows the head of a reindeer with a glowing Christian cross between its antlers, is a reference to the stories of Saint Hubertus and Saint Eustace, patron saints of hunters.
Jägermeister is a type of liqueur called Kräuterlikör (herbal liqueur). It is similar to other central European liqueurs, such as Gammel Dansk from Denmark, Unicum from Hungary, Becherovka from the Czech Republic and Pelinkovac from Croatia. In contrast to those beverages, Jägermeister has a sweeter taste.
Jägermeister’s ingredients include 56 herbs, fruits, roots and spices including citrus peel, licorice, anise, poppy seeds, saffron, ginger, juniper berries and ginseng. These ingredients are ground, then steeped in water and alcohol for 2–3 days. Afterwards, this mixture is filtered and stored in oak barrels for about a year. When a year has passed, the liqueur is filtered again, then mixed with sugar, caramel, alcohol and water. It is filtered one last time and then bottled.
The producer recommends that Jägermeister be kept on ice and served cold and suggests that it be kept in a freezer at −18 °C (−0 °F) or on tap between −15 °C (5 °F) and −11 °C (12 °F).
Contrary to an urban legend, Jägermeister does not contain deer or elk blood.

La Fée Absinthe is a brand of absinthe; it is a highly alcoholic, anise-flavored, distilled spirit containing the herb wormwood (Artemisia absinthium). La Fée Absinthe was created by Green Utopia, which is owned and run by George Rowley.
La Fée comes in five styles: Parisienne, an anise-flavored absinthe; Bohemian, a low-anise absinth; La Fée X•S Suisse and La Fée X•S Française, which are two “extra supérieure,” wine-based absinthes; and La Fée NV, a lower strength product for "modern drinking."
In 2011 the La Fée Absinthe portfolio was awarded Master (Design & Packaging) at the inugural Spirits Business Absinthe Masters.

La Fée Absinth Bohemian is a Czech-style, low-anise liquor, first produced south of Prague in Bohemia since November 2004. Because it is low-anise and does not produce a louche, it is considered to be a different product from absinthe (with an 'e'). It is mostly mixed in cocktails rather than being drunk in the traditional manner of absinthe.
Awarded the Beverage Testing Institute Gold Medal in 2007

La Fée Parisienne was first distilled in July 2000 in association with the Musée de l’Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise, France, and its founder and curator, Marie-Claude Delahaye. It was the first absinthe distilled and bottled in France since the 1915 ban. It is made in copper stills in a classic pre-ban method and contains a dozen plants, including Artemisia absinthium (Grande Wormwood) and Artemisia pontica (Petite Wormwood). It is bottled at 68% ABV or in a 45% ABV version.
La Fée Parisienne contains a colorant, which creates the green color that is typical of 'the Green Fairy' and is usually drunk in the traditional manner of adding 4–6 parts chilled water poured over a sugar cube. It is also used as an ingredient of various cocktails.
It has been awarded the International Spirits Challenge Silver Medal in 2003, the Beverage Testing Institute Gold Medal in 2007, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition Gold Medal in 2008 and three Gold Medals for packaging and one Silver for the product itself at the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition 2009.
In 2011 La Fée Absinthe Parisienne was awarded Silver (Design & Packaging) at the inugural Spirits Business Absinthe Masters.

NV Absinthe Verte by La Fée is a lower abv (38%) absinthe, aimed at the bar, club and all round party scene. Its lower alcohol content allows for greater flexibility with serving options, or allows it to be drunk neat or over ice. NV Absinthe Verte is distilled with Grand Wormwood.
NV was released across Europe and Australia in 2008, and released in the US in 2009.[2]
In 2010 NV was awarded Gold (Taste) at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition

This remarkable Tullibardine 1488 Whisky beer is brewed with the pure crystal spring water and malted barley used in the distillation process. It is conditioned in individually numbered oak casks which have been used in the maturation of the majestic Tullibardine single malt Scotch Whisky, it's distinctive character beautifully balanced by the lightness of touch so familiar to Tullibardine connoisseurs the world over. Bottled at 7% volume.

Amber colour, moderate head that fades quickly. Smell of malts, some vanilla, hints of whisky, apricots and caramel. Rather thin body, kind of sweet in the palate. Taste is just the same as smell, some whisky (not really very strong), apricots and vanilla. I expected more of this one.

It is sold in five size variants: 90 ml, 180 ml (quarter), 375 ml (half), 750 ml ("full"), and a 1 liter bottle.

Fermentation of Stolichnaya starts with wheat and rye grains and artesial water from the Russian city of Samara and the Kaliningrad region. The fermentation takes about 60 hours. Once fermentation is complete the resulting liquid is distilled four times to a strength of 96.4% ABV. This spirit is then diluted to bottling strength with more artesial well water. It is then filtered through quartz, sand, activated charcoal, and finally through woven cloth.
The brand's logo features the words "Stolichnaya vodka" in gold cursive script, over a drawing of a Moscow landmark currently under re-construction, the Hotel Moskva, where Stalin once stayed and the site of one of the first Metro stations in the capital city. ("Stolichnaya" is the adjectival form of "stolitsa" ["столица"], meaning "capital city".)

Stolichnaya has its origins in the Moscow State Wine Warehouse No. 1 which was opened in 1901 by the authorities to ensure higher quality vodka production.
There's a confusion about the actual birth date of Stolichnaya vodka. The earliest confirmed production date is 1948, but the label design clearly predates 1946. It is likely that it was created by V. G. Svirida around 1944. However, there is a trademark patent dated 1938, which is sometimes quoted as another birth date.
In 1953, Stolichnaya was introduced on the international trade show in Bern and received a gold medal.
The Stolichnaya label no longer makes reference to Russia or Russian Vodka, as displayed on the label in this article. Stoli is now produced and bottled in Latvia for SPI Cyprus and is labeled as Imported Premium Vodka.

The ways and customs of a country's population, regardless of it's geographic location, have a strong relation to their foods and drinks. Meal preparation and presentation, and its time to share them, have played a relevant role in how most cultures become known through out history and around the world. This is owed to the customs, traditions and sentiments found in the rituals that surround eating and drinking. A perfect example of all of this can be found in this one word: Tequila. Tequila is one of Mexico's most significant contributions to the world. This beverage means so much to our culture, because many of our people's highly regarded values - tradition, perfection, pureness, togetherness, sharing - these same elements were the building blocks in the late 1800s from which Casa Noble began its own quest to produce and offer tequila to the world.
At Casa Noble, each detail of the production process-from cultivating the blue agave plants to the lengthy aging process-insures the properties and aromas unique to the tequila.

One of the most important factors in a great tequila is the agave. Casa Noble is a distillery and also an agave grower with more than 3000 acres of agave fields under cultivation. One of the secrets of ultra premium Tequila is in the soil from which it comes and for this reason, Casa Noble only uses agave from its own fields located in the hills near the city of Tequila in the state of Jalisco. These regions inside the designated area of the origin of tequila contain a unique soil that produces the best blue agave.
Music icon and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Carlos Santana has joined the Board and is now one of the owners of the brand. A multiple-Grammy award winner, Santana shares with Casa Noble the passion for perfection in everything we do.

We call it Crystal because we believe it is unique and in a class by itself.
